To CrossRoads Preschool
Families,
The staff at CrossRoads Preschool is
anxiously awaiting the opening day of
preschool. We have been planning and
preparing enriching experiences for your
preschooler. Please mark your calendars
for Thursday, August 25th at 7 p.m. We
will hold an orientation for you and
your preschooler to meet your teacher
and teachers assistant, visit the
classroom & playground, fill out a few
forms, and find out more about our
school.
The only item your child will need to
bring to school is a backpack to carry
their papers and projects home in.
Please have a change of clothes in the
backpack appropriate for the season.
When choosing a backpack with your
preschooler we ask that you not purchase
those with rollers and hard handles. We
have new painting on our walls and this
would add major wear and tear to them.
Some preschoolers are so excited they
want to purchase items for school. We
will have crayons, scissors, glue,
paper, etc. If you wish to purchase
extra items we would be glad to accept
donations of tissues, Ziploc bags, or
baby wipes please remember, this is
not required.
We are beginning the year with a
Teddy Bear theme as well as the theme,
God Made Everything. We are asking
each preschooler to bring a special
teddy bear on their first day of school
for a teddy bear picnic. This will be
Tuesday, Sept. 6th or Wednesday, Sept.
7th (depending upon your schedule).
We would also like for each
preschooler to bring a picture of their
family for our classrooms on orientation
night. (Snapshots please, nothing
formal) You will need to bring your
immunization certificate as well that
night if you have not submitted it.
CrossRoads has an additional program
to inform you about. We are offering a
one day per week Spanish class for four
year olds to attend. The class will be
on Wednesdays from 12 1 p.m. The cost
of the class will be added to the
monthly tuition ($25 per month). The
students would pack their lunch and eat
as a group with the Spanish teacher. The
class is open to the first 10 four year
olds who call to register. We will only
proceed if we have at least 5 students
register.
You may also want to check out our
website at
www.crossroadshbc.org which is full
of information. You can even download
the forms for orientation night and fill
them out ahead of time.
The staff is looking forward to
meeting each family on orientation
night. We are excited about what God is
doing with our new school.
